Georgia Tech | Black Women in STEM

In 2019, Murrell was commissioned to complete two paintings by Georgia Tech University's Nu Beta Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority commemorating their 40th Anniversary and Celebrating Black Women in STEM! Both pieces, "Sisters" and "Her Mind is Open", were permanently installed on the sixth floor of Georgia Tech’s newly refurbished Dorothy M. Crosland Tower library and unveiled on October 16, 2020.

Jack & Jill, Inc | Atlanta Chapter

The "Sumaya | In Service" series was commissioned by the Jack & Jill Atlanta Chapter. Each original piece is 12” x 9” and created with high gloss enamel, hand painted encaustic rice paper and Thai unryu paper.
